U-Boat
U-Boat was, as its name alludes, originally suggested in 1942 to Italian timepiece company Officine Fontana by the Italian war department. While production was never completed then, all original drawings and color schemes for the watches were kept until the cousin of Officine Fontana founder, Italo Fontana, launched the current U-Boat collection in 2000. Today, U-Boat is recognized for its unique design, with the crown on the left side of the case. All U-Boat watches are numbered, with some models only made in quantities of 1,000.
