Longines Automatic 1200

The automatic 1200 watch by Longines debuted in the 1950s, which was the decade of the “Longines Circle”. The oval dials were extremely popular because of the sense of elegance that their look created. This was also a great decade for Longines to prove the extreme precision of their watches since they became sponsors of the Olympic Games.  The association between the Longines Circle and the five circles in the logo of the Olympic Games added extra symbolism and ties between the two.

Most of the recent Longines collections and models are related in one way or another to the older models and the over 150-year history of the company.
